2a. Information You Provide Voluntarily

  • Tools that only centre the map or display your coordinates process this data entirely within your browser; it is never sent to our servers.
  • Tools that look up information near you — such as finding a nearby address, EV charging stations, postal code, or ground elevation — send your coordinates to our server, which forwards the request to a third-party data provider (e.g. OpenStreetMap Nominatim, Open Charge Map) and returns the result. We do not store these coordinates in a database; they may appear briefly in standard server request logs (see Section 9) but are never linked to your identity, sold, or used for advertising.
  • GPS coordinates embedded in photo metadata (EXIF) that you view or edit with our Geotag Photos tool are read and written entirely within your browser — your photos are never uploaded to our servers.

Providers used this way include OpenStreetMap Nominatim (address / reverse geocoding), OpenCage (postal code geocoding), Open-Meteo (time zone lookup), Open Charge Map (EV charging stations), and OpenTopoData (elevation).
• Hosting / CDN providers — infrastructure to serve the website globally.
